There are 3 fantastic Fuentes (spring mountain fountains) to discover alone in Velez Blanco.  These beautiful old fountains make wonderful photo shoots for the keen photographer, as well as photographing the magical old Palace. (Do see some of Trevor-s work here)..

Welcome to our home, 2Poplars (El Alamos Dos) casa rural, and we thank you for your interest!

We run a small family country guest house (Casa Rural), nestling in the valley directly below the delightful Spanish village of Velez Blanco, which is dominated by the picturesque old Palace, splendid mountain views and 2 magnificent churches.

2Poplars is an old cortijo (farmhouse), which has been completely refurbished to a very high standard during 2006.  We offer 5 large double bedrooms….all en suite…4 with double beds and 1 twin bed room …all comfy and cosy.  Every bedroom has an individual designer style and is decorated with beautiful colour co ordinated furnishings….all for the delight our valued guests.  We have large grounds planted with indigenous cacti, succulents, bougainvilleas, palm trees etc, and our large swimming pool is currently under construction. 

For your additional delight, 2Poplars has an exclusive art gallery with art for sale of local artists whom you may meet, and tasteful local artisans’ work on display and for sale.

We also have a charming bar, Sunflowers or (Girasols), to relax in on those balmy Spanish days and evenings!  

You have the choice of B & B, or half board, where Marilyn cooks delicious home cooked and simply mouthwatering food for your enjoyment. Great care is taken to your personal tastes (and avoidance of any allergies you may have), and all food is lovingly prepared with seasonal local vegetables, fruits, and locally produced meats and fish.  Occasionally, we even have guest chefs to ‘titillate those taste buds’!

Other locations well worth a visit are majestic Lorca, fascinating Murcia, and popular Velez Rubio and of course, sited in picturesque Sierra Maria ranges, the ancient town of Maria.  (Sightseeing trips in our 4x4 available)
